A quiet small town descends into turmoil when a deceptive religious group begins to take hold.

Kim Min-Cheol, once a talented high school judo athlete, saw his future unravel due to his uncompromising sense of justice, which repeatedly landed him in prison. When he learns that his hometown, Wolchoori, is set to be submerged as part of a development project with residents promised compensation he returns. Back in town, he notices unfamiliar faces and senses that something isn’t right.

Among the newcomers is Choi Kyung-Seok, a seemingly kind and approachable man. Though initially met with suspicion, he earns the trust of the townspeople by helping them secure their compensation. Gradually, however, he begins laying the foundation for a religious organization.

Meanwhile, Kim Young-Sun, Min-Cheol’s younger sister, struggles with a bleak home life. A nursing student, she dreams of escaping Wolchoori and starting anew. Despite her brother’s return, nothing improves for her until Pastor Sung Cheol-Woo enters her life, bringing a new and uncertain influence.
